ON ELECTIONS AND DEMOCRACY......
All we need is a President of Kenya, not President of Kikuyu community, not a President of Luo community, we are not electing Kamba president neither do we want a Luyha or Kalenjin president, it is a President of Republic of Kenya, its time we have to think beyond tribal ethnicities and vote out poverty, we vote out corruption, it is time to vote out tribalism, we have to vote out high cost of living.
We should have a Kenya that our generations to come we'll not see stupidity out of their predecessors.
We vote a Kenya that we'll promote employment to all Kenyans, a corruption free Kenya, a Kenya in which education professionals will not be in constant disagreement with the government neither should we have constant protestations, a Kenya in which all records will be clear. A Kenya where security to the citizens is taken into account, health sector seen important beyond personal gain. A child born in an era in which strikes, go slows and demonstrations are the deals of the day will live to know that the best way of decision solution is by forceful means.
A leader is that person who knows the way, lives the way and goes the way, this we all know, but how will we expect a liberal Kenya when the people in the name leaders do not know the way neither do they live it? Remember when the law making and law enforcing powers are placed on same person, there can never be liberty. It is time we need to take out the leadership of this nation from a particular group of individuals, Kenyan presidency is not hereditary, its not for a particular tribe(s) ,. If we are true democrats as Kenyans, then we must come out and vote wisely.
As Barack Obama said " If you want to give me a good farewell, then go out and vote" so I say "if you want to kick out the evils in the government both the Central and County, the go out and vote. Let no body say that voting does not matter, nobody should say that her(is) one vote will not do a change, every vote counts, the Bible itself talks of Leadership being taken on votes. Remember Jonah was identified on voting.
Leadership is not about position or rank, it is not about fame or wealth, it is about what impact you have on the people who you lead, what you did and what you can strongly and confidently stand out to defend.
My conclusion of the day is a Barack Obama quote on leadership " In leadership and in life, ignorance is not a virtue ". Wake up and see that the Kenya we have is not the Kenya your generations to come will be proud to support.
